Native is a glorious shop in Scituate Harbor that sells fair trade, handmade jewelry, art and artifacts from around the world. I’m always a little jealous of Marie’s travels; she was in Nepal last year! My favorite event in February is the “Works of the HeART” community art show at Native. It’s open to everyone who would like to submit a 10″x10″ piece of original art that incorporates a heart. I’m new to painting, and this is a fun way for me to step firmly outside of my comfort zone!

The show runs through February 13th. It’s definitely worth a visit! Link to Native’s Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/nativescituate?igsh=b2hseDdtY3Yzd3gz
Take a look at my submission “Shark in the Water” and the show overall. Such a joyful experience! Be on the lookout for the next Works of the HeART at Native in Scituate Harbor. This is annual event every February.

Most artwork is available for sale during the event. It seems like almost half to two thirds of the pieces sold, which is amazing. They also host an opening party on first Friday in February. I also found a lot of heart inspired items for sale in the shop, perfect for some fun Valentine’s decorating at home.
