Yacht Rock and coastal New England just go together, especially in the summer! There is nothing more South Shore than seeing the band Yachtley Crew at the Music Circus in Cohasset. Tickets for the show on August 2, 2026 just went on sale this week, and you know we are booked!

Yachtley Crew is a yacht rock band out of Los Angeles that knows exactly how to turn smooth ’70s and ’80s soft rock into a full-on party. They play all the classics people love, think Steely Dan, Toto, Hall & Oates, Christopher Cross, and lean all the way into the nautical vibe, from the music to the outfits.
People love them because their shows are pure fun. It is nostalgic without feeling cheesy, polished without feeling stiff, and completely interactive. Everyone sings along, dances, and gets swept up in the shared joy of hearing songs they know by heart, played by a band that clearly loves the music as much as the crowd does. Seeing Yachtley Crew feels less like a concert and more like being invited onto the best yacht party you have ever been to.

The other thing you should know is that people dress for these shows! Captain’s hats, uniforms, and more! Here are some links to get you thinking. (If you buy from one of these links, I get a small commission.)
Captains hat patterned
Captains hat, traditional
Captain’s Uniform T-shirt (size up, a lot of guys were wearing TIGHT shirts last year)
Sailor Accessories
The Music Circus in Cohasset is a classic summer spot on the South Shore. Set under a big top tent, it offers an intimate, relaxed way to see live music, comedy, and tribute acts, where there really isn’t a bad seat in the house. It has been around for decades, and there is something special about spending a warm summer evening there, close to the stage, soaking in great entertainment. Even better, when the show is over, you are out of the parking lot in 15 minutes, flat.
If you want to learn more about the South Shore or if you need help buying or selling a house, reach out! I write this blog to share all of the things we learn and experience as “washashores” on the South Shore. I’d love to help you find your home on the South Shore.
